Final Cut Pro 7
Final Cut Pro 7 has developed a large and expanding user base, mainly video hobbyists and independent filmmakers. It had also made inroads with film and television editors who have traditionally used Avid Technology’s Media Composer. This is an older version of FCP but was a staple independent film making. A number of TSV’s members are still using the program along with other filmmakers who need to open up old project files.
Final Cut Pro X
Built to meet the needs of today’s creative editors, Final Cut Pro X breaks free from the restrictions of old-fashioned timeline tracks. A dynamic editing interface lets you experiment freely while working with extraordinary speed and precision. Still Final Cut Pro X is a choice of independent filmmakers and video makers, it is available on all computers in the TSV arsenal.
Adobe Creative Suite
Adobe has been in the fore-front of the video editing, graphics and motion design for the past 10 years. Its programs, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop are amongst the industry standards for broadcast and web design. Trinity Square’s editing equipment comes loaded with all of the CS6 creative suite and a Mac Pro suite with Adobe CC.
Autodesk Maya 2015
Maya is an application used to generate 3D assets for use in film, television, game development and architecture. Maya has been used to create graphics for many cinematic films, including the Academy Award winners. It is also used to create visual effects for television programs.
With the touch of a single button, PluralEyes analyzes the audio from your cameras and audio devices and syncs them up, in seconds. No clapboards or time code are needed.
Magic Bullet Looks works with your favorite editor to transform the look of your footage in seconds. Skin scopes make your talent look good. A new S-curve tool gives you fine contrast control, letting you “shoot flat” and apply punch in post. A new LUT tool adds BulletProof compatibility, allowing you to bring color settings from the set to your edit suite. Version 2.5 boasts major speed improvements, faster previews, and improved integration with host applications.
Trapcode Suite sets the industry bar with 10 tools for broadcast-ready effects and flexible 3D content. Its flagship product is Particular 2, a speedy 3D particle system with options for custom particles, particle shading and movement in 3D space. Use Trapcode Suite to create high quality text titles, animated backgrounds and logo treatments with fast rendering and an affordable price tag.
Optical Flares is a plug-in for designing and animating realistic lens flares in After Effects. Featuring 3D Lens Flares with AE Lights, live visual preset library, chromatic aberration, 12 unique lens objects, 50 custom lens objects, large pop-out preview window.
Metropolitan 3D + Element 3D
Element 3D is Video Co-Pilot’s pre-generated 3D graphics engine. Members can access 3D maps, rendered objects, 3D cameras, that react to changing atmosphere in the 3D space of After Effects. An excellent tool for any artist interested in motion graphics, visual effects or installation regarding 3D animation without having to model objects. The suite is also loaded with Metropolitan 3D, the pre-generated city scapes through Video Co-Pilot.
Members are encouraged to purchase their own hard drive to work off of but if they cannot access their own storage, members are allowed to use the storage on the computers. However, TSV cannot guarantee safety and privacy of saved materials on TSV computers. All media saved on the computers will be deleted every two weeks and it is the member’s responsibility to back up their own works.
