Learn How to Make A Music Video from Start to Finish

This hands-on workshop will teach you how to make a music video from start to finish. This is a two-day hands-on intensive workshop culminating in a music video being shot with the band called  Diar . They are a Syrian band based in Toronto .

They play Syrian, Arabic and Middle Eastern traditional songs mix with Flamenco in order to revive their heritage by using some easy rhythms so everyone can understand and enjoy the music .

" Diar ": It's an "Syrian" Damask expression that indicates to the open space (the courtyard ) in the old traditional Damask house. " Diar " to the band indicates their homeland "Syria", their memories, childhood, friends, family, first love, happiness ,sadness and their musical roots. " Diar " in their music is the Arabic rich heritage that they aim to revive and they are full of hope to keep this beautiful and nice folkloric music alive. " Diar " in Canada will be the bridge between their memories in Syria and their new home Canada.  

Participants will finish the workshop with a solid understanding of the principles on how to make a Music Video.This workshop includes gear, space, technicians and a screening.
